of Upcountry Pastimes. I
sold the business to Gail Putnam in 2004. Gail and I came up
with the idea for Upcountry Pastimes
in 1991 while sitting in a bar in Atlanta.We were on a buying
trip for The Country
Carriage (also at Mill Falls Marketplace). Don't get
us started on who actually came up with the idea, but the concept
of a gift shop for people with a passion for their pastimes seemed
like a good one. Trust me, this is a fun, fun shop! When you're
vacationing in the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, take a day
to visit Mill Falls Marketplace and its 18 fine shops and restaurants.
And remember....Golf, sailing, fishing, gardening. What else
is there?
